On Thursday, the BBC said that Ms. Berry, a judge who is a fan favorite on the U.K. sensation “The Great British Bake Off,” would leave the show when it moves from the public broadcaster to Channel 4. In the series, called “The Great British Baking Show” in the U.S., amateur bakers politely compete for a cake stand. The program, which PBS began airing two years ago, has emerged as a cult hit in the U.S.
