‘Balik Probinsya’ to benefit education – Go – The Manila Times


The education sector should help students looking to transfer to rural areas because of the coronavirus pandemic, Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said even as the Department of Education (DepEd) reminded parents of their role in ensuring that their children continue learning. “One of those that has to be considered is the readiness of schools and learning institutions for the student transferees,” he said. Enhancing rural educationIn preparation for the implementation of the BPP, Go said the education system in rural areas must be enhanced to prepare for the transfer of students. Go added that the entire education system in every region must be considered to avoid the need for students to relocate after finishing one level and moving on to the next. Go said although the initiative entails massive infrastructure projects for education, the program would also help decongest overcrowded classrooms in urban areas.
