At least in an advertisement put together with the help of the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC). Kumar, who briefly features in the ad, has played an important role in Trump’s outreach to the Indian American community. He said the ad was put together by the Indian-American Advisory Committee and that it was being aired on all Indian-American channels in the US. The ad opens with a Diwali message because “if he’s doing an ad at this time, it would be impolite not to wish Happy Diwali”, he added.
