The former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, has today commended President Muhammed Buhari for honouring the late MKO Abiola with the declaration of June 12 as Nigeria’s Democracy Day. Fayose faulted Obasanjo’s failure to honour the late MKO and further declared it a shame that would remain sore-point of political history because he was OBJ’s kinsman. Fayose tweeted through his handle, @GovAyoFayose: “Honouring MKO Abiola by @MBuhari is to Obasanjo’s shame. It remains a sore-point of his political history that because of ego, Obasanjo, who’s the greatest beneficiary of the June 12, 1993 struggle failed to honour his kinsman, MKO Abiola. So, I commend President Buhari.”Honouring MKO Abiola by @MBuhari is to Obasanjo’s shame.
