Ōtākaro Orchard edible garden building to start after $1m-plus fundraising campaign


Construction will start soon on facilities for a central Christchurch edible garden after a fundraising campaign raised more than $1 million. The garden, Ōtākaro Orchard on Cambridge Tce, is being established as a community project by more than 50 organisations and businesses. Launched in 2015, Ōtākaro Orchard took a step forward in 2016 when a five-year lease on the land was signed with the Crown.
