Tenants of the Sh450 million Hazina Plaza in Mombasa are afraid they will lose their property following the NSSF's renewed efforts for their eviction. They have obtained orders barring the NSSF's auctioneers from forcing them out of the nine-storey building at the heart of Mombasa. The NSSF has accused Techno of violating the lease agreement and wants the company to vacate the building, meaning the other tenants will be affected. The NSSF, Techno, their agents and employees were barred from interfering with the businesses at Hazina Plaza. The NSSF managed to kick tenants from the prime land along Mombasa-Malindi road after a 15-year legal battle with the Koinange family.
