Huawei MobileThe news bubbled to the surface earlier today from The Information, and then was directly confirmed by Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu via The Verge and CNBC. That's probably an understatement, considering that Huawei's MateBook and MateBook X Pro laptops have been critically praised in the tech press. The devices also represent one of the few Huawei consumer products being sold in the U.S. -- and succeeding there in the retail space. Last month, however, Microsoft and Best Buy halted that momentum by quietly pulling their MateBook listings from physical and virtual shelves. As of today, requests for comment from Microsoft concerning its business relationship with Huawei remain unanswered.
