Kathangu acted as father/guardian of Nyaga who is the daughter of the late former Runyenjes MP Kamwithi Munyi. He said elders are custodians of traditions and culture, and as Embu elders, they are obligated to showcase it to the guests. Jonathan who is also the groom's uncle wished the couple all the best as they began their new journey. "I wish the couple a successful and happy marriage," he said. As the ceremony continued, guests were entertained with both Nigerian and Kenyan music, and food.
