"Ramavat went to Surendranagar and called Rangani's son that he killed him. He then switched off the phone and went to Jamnagar, while police went in search of him to Surendranagar," said police. According to police, Hitesh Ramavat picked up his victims from Mahudi Road area, which is known as a 'pickup point' for gays. His first victim was Sagar Mewada (30) who was found with his head smashed with a stone near Bhaktinagar railway station. Rajkot police commissioner Anumpam Singh Gehlot said that the primary motive of Ramavat for the murders was to have sex with victims and then loot them.
