Husband matchetes wife over sexual harassment allegation
The Ondo State Police Command on Friday said it had commenced the search for a man, Kehinde Olanipekun, who allegedly macheted his wife, Damilola. Olanipekun, now at large, reportedly attacked his wife at their residence at Idasen Community in Owo Local Government Area of the state a few days ago. It was gathered that Damilola accused her husband of sexually harassing her 14-year-old daughter, whom she had for another before marrying Olanipekun. Damilola was said to have confronted her husband about the allegation after her daughter reported the matter to her. It was gathered that the action of the suspect was not unconnected with the allegation levelled against him by his wife.

Atiku had approached the presidential election tribunal to nullify the February 25 election, in which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu of the winner. Not satisfied with the verdict, the former Vice President filed an appeal before the Supreme Court. In a notice on Thursday, Supreme Court Registrar, Zainab Garba, announced that Atiku’s appeal had been listed for hearing on Monday. “Take notice that the above appeal/motion will be listed for hearing before the Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting at Abuja on Monday, October 23, 2023. He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, says the Federal Government will deepen the existing bilateral relations between Angola and Nigeria. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is desirous to deepen the relationship between Nigeria and other African countries, including Angola. The Minister said both countries are well endowed with natural resources, especially oil and gas, which they depend on for significant revenues. Speaking, the Ambassador of Angola to Nigeria, Mr Jose Bamoquina Zau said Nigeria and Angola had come a long way. Israel/Palestinian: International communities urged to declare killing genocide
International communities have been urged to unite and declare the continued destruction of houses and killing of Palestinians by the Israelis a crime against humanity. He emphasised that the international community should not perceive the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians as a Muslim or Christian issue but as a problem that affects all of humanity. He further stated that the international community should hold Israel accountable for war crimes against the Palestinians. Did he mean Filipinos would be “allowed to cross” instead of “given the priority” just in case (because there was no certainty yet as of this writing) the border opens on October 20 as reportedly scheduled? The WHO was reportedly initially being allowed five truckloads of supplies, and they’re ready to go as soon as the border opens. Given the aforementioned situations, why would Egypt “prioritize” the small number of Filipinos when they could even hardly facilitate the crossing of WHO supplies as reported?

One Punch Man: World | New Gameplay Today
One Punch Man is great and often hilarious manga/anime about Saitama, the namesake of the franchise, who defeats every foe he encounters with one punch. It functions both as a great parody of anime characters who are constantly struggling to become stronger and as great action anime on its own. One Punch Man: World is currently in closed beta and while it doesn't particularly solve any of those issues, it does look great and showcase some impressive action. Proper tax system will end FG borrowing – SGF, don – Punch Newspapers
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and a Don, Professor Ezekiel Willams, have noted that a proper taxation system will end the borrowing of loans by the Federal Government to fund projects. He revealed that ‘The Taxation Pendula’ would educate citizens and businesses on how to pay taxes, benefit from paying taxes, and avoid breaking tax laws. He added, “You don’t pay tax from what you don’t have, you pay tax from what you have; hence taxes cannot be used to impoverish citizens as there’s equity in taxation. So, there’s no need to borrow money to be extravagant, you borrow money for the needs of the people. The tax laws are on par, we don’t need to increase taxes, if we’re able to understand and operate adequately, we’ll have enough.”
