Young people spearheading the HIV caravan made a stop yesterday, August 4, 2016 at the Yaounde Mfoundi Market where they intensified the sensitisation campaign on the deadly HIV virus and the diseases it causes, AIDS. Visibly present at the junction between Mfoundi Market and Camair-Co agency, these peer educators were out to sensitise people on the HIV pandemic which is ravaging the population particularly the youths. Through educational chats with traders and passers-by around the Mfoundi Market, the peer educators edified the population on ways to prevent HIV such as abstinence, fidelity and the use of condoms, depending on the individual. The campaign is also an opportunity for many people to voluntarily do the HIV test.

The Kinnaka TV launch was sponsored by Blu Nation, Belle and Glam, Luxenoir Cosmetics, Niki Heat, K&F Cosmetics and Frog Tutoring. The attendees were treated to great African music from different countries, and some finger licking refreshments, courtesy of Le Chaudron. There was a great turnout of around 50 attendees, aged between 20-50, from varying African countries like Cameroon, Congo, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana and Zimbawe. The evening was filled with keynote speakers such as the founder of Kinnaka TV Bandy Kiki, and Dr. Nana Cole (President of the African Community Association of Bolton), as well as the owner of Le Chaudron, Adelaïde Tatchemo.

The Cameroonian striker took part in the Ibaka Games charity basketball, match which was organised by Congolese NBA player Serge Ibaka under his founder Serge Ibaka Founder in partnership with Congo airlines company, ECAIR. A host of celebrities like Werrason, Sai Sai, Christian Eyenga, Bismack Biyombo amongst many others also took part in the Ibaka Games. We are not certain at the moment how many baskets Samuel Eto’o made during the game but the spirit behind his participation is all that really count. The Ibaka Games was geared towards inspiring African kids to believe in themselves, believe in their chances no matter how hard their circumstances are.
