12Lucknow: The Viksit UP-2047 public outreach campaign has reached the United Kingdom (UK), where on Monday several members of the UP diaspora came together to give suggestions on the vision document for a developed UP by 2047.The event, held in London, saw minister of state for stamps and registration (independent charge) Ravindra Jaiswal address the gathering and highlight the changes that have been brought about in UP since 2017, and the state's short and long-term goals up to 2047. Jaiswal said that the diaspora showed keen interest in contributing their insights and experiences to help achieve the goals of ‘Viksit UP'.UPDF-UK chairperson Ajay Singh said that the campaign would soon be taken to other cities in the UK so that the feedback could be compiled before Oct 5. Singh said that they were targeting more than 1,000 suggestions to be collected from the UP diaspora. UP Diaspora Forum president Pankaj Jaiswal said that similar programmes are being organised in Dubai, the Netherlands, the USA, and other countries to connect with the global UP diaspora and ensure their active involvement in the state's growth.
