The StarThe paper reported President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s offices are set to receive more billions of shillings in the next financial year as budget cuts hit ministries. Ruto’s office has been allocated KSh 5.3 billion for the coming financial year, which is significantly higher than the KSh 4 billion it received this year. DP Gachagua’s office has been allocated KSh 4.8 billion compared to the KSh4.2 billion in the current budget. Should MPs uphold the National Treasury's proposal, the top three offices, including the State House budget, are tipped to receive more than KSh 20 billion. While the three top offices are gearing up for billions, most ministries, state departments, and agencies (MDAs) have been hard hit with stringent budget cuts.
