Bearcats rebound from last week’s loss to Class 4A No. 1 CamasSHORELINE — The Monroe football team, ranked No. 8 in the AP Class 3A state football poll, rebounded in a big way with a 42-14 win over Shorecrest on Friday night. A nationwide Status Yellow wind warning has also been issued and will be valid from midnight on Sunday until 3am on Monday. New short film inspired by Katriona O’Sullivan’s memoirA university lecturer who “survived poverty and trauma” in her life, says it’s important that stories like hers are told. Katriona O’Sullivan, now a lecturer in Maynooth, released a memoir last year, called Poor, which has inspired a new short film by Joe McGucken. The authenticity of the process was something I just felt like I really wanted to be part of. “I think it’s important to show that, whether it’s through my book or through film, I think it’s an important thing to highlight,” she added. “In some senses, I felt like I had a responsibility to tell my story and say there’s so much talent in poor communities.
