The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has told the Supreme Court that there was a 74 per cent rise in hate crimes in India in 2024, of which 98 per cent were against Muslims. Gujarat police on Thursday (February 5, 2026) arrested 43 men and detained 38 women for allegedly consuming liquor at a private party held at a villa on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, in violation of the State’s prohibition laws. “While 43 male attendees were arrested, 38 women were detained and later released after being served notices,” he said. During the raid, police seized liquor bottles, hookahs, cars, and mobile phones collectively valued at ₹2.3 crore. The seized items included 15 bottles of liquor, 10 hookahs, 22 cars, and 74 mobile phones. If the presence of narcotic substances is detected, additional charges will be invoked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the police said.

शक्ति सिंह, रांची। रेलवे ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को और मजबूत करने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम उठाया है। रेलवे बोर्ड ने आरक्षित श्रेणी में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों के लिए पहचान पत्र सत्यापन को अनिवार्य करते हुए सभी जोनल रेलवे को सख्त निर्देश जारी किए हैं।खासतौर पर भारत-नेपाल और भारत-बांग्लादेश जैसी अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमाओं से सटे क्षेत्रों में इन नियमों को कड़ाई से लागू करने को कहा गया है। रेलवे का मानना है कि इससे अवैध गतिविधियों पर प्रभावी नियंत्रण संभव हो सकेगा। रेलवे बोर्ड ने सभी जोनल रेलवे के प्रधान मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधकों (पीसीसीएम) को पत्र जारी कर यह सुनिश्चित करने को कहा है कि आरक्षित श्रेणी में यात्रा करने वाले प्रत्येक यात्री से यात्रा के दौरान वैध पहचान पत्र का मूल दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत कराया जाए।पहचान पत्र प्रस्तुत नहीं करने की स्थिति में यात्री को बिना टिकट यात्रा करने वाला माना जाएगा और रेलवे नियमों के तहत कार्रवाई की जाएगी।रेलवे बोर्ड ने यह भी स्पष्ट किया है कि समूह में यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों के मामले में आरक्षित टिकट पर दर्ज यात्रियों में से कम से कम एक यात्री के पास मूल पहचान पत्र होना अनिवार्य है।यदि समूह में कोई भी यात्री पहचान पत्र दिखाने में असफल रहता है, तो पूरे समूह को बिना टिकट यात्रा करने की श्रेणी में रखा जा सकता है, जिसके तहत जुर्माना और अन्य दंडात्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।दिव्यांग, वरिष्ठ नागरिक, छात्र एवं अन्य विशेष आरक्षण या रियायत कोटा के अंतर्गत यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को भी अपनी पात्रता से जुड़े वैध दस्तावेज यात्रा के दौरान दिखाने होंगे।
