The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) released its draft Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) on Cabin Crew Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) in October 2025, triggering industry-wide consultations. One of the grouping’s principal arguments is that flight duty period — rather than flight time — should serve as the primary metric for managing cabin crew fatigue on a day-to-day basis. Also, FIA said the duty and rest limits should focus on the flight duty period and minimum rest periods, avoiding cumulative caps or direct linkage to the number of landings. With respect to proposed norms for rooms for the cabin crew, FIA said accommodation standards should be focused on rest quality, with twin-sharing permitted under operator-defined guidelines.

ट्रायल के लिए बने इस कंटेनर को बनाने के लिए स्टेनलेस स्टील बनाने वाली कंपनी जिंदल स्टेनलेस ने फ्री में एसएस 304 ग्रेड का शीट उपलब्ध कराया। उल्लेखनीय है कंपनी इससे पहले स्टेनलेस स्टील से बने ट्रक (Salt Tipper Trailer) का भी ट्रायल कर चुकी है। स्टेनलेस स्टील से बने ट्रक या कंटेनर की बॉडी की उम्र 15 साल तो आराम से रहती है। पहले के माइल्ड स्टील से बने मालगाड़ी के डिब्बों को नमक की ढुलाई करने की वजह से दो-तीन ट्रिप के बाद ही वर्कशॉप भेजना पड़ता है।इस कंटेनर को हरियाणा के रेवाड़ी की कंपनी कल्याणी कास्ट टेक लिमिटेड ने बनाया है। कल्याणी कास्ट टेक के सीएमडी नरेश कुमार ने बताया कि परीक्षण में जिस कंटेनर का उपयोग हुआ था, वह 20 फीट लंबा, 8.5 फीट ऊंचा और 8.5 फीट चौड़ा था। इसके बन जाने से अब नमक की ढुलाई लागत पहले के मुकाबले काफी घट जाएगी। इससे लॉजिस्टिक एफिशिएंसी भी आएगी।स्टेनलेस स्टील 304 ग्रेड के शीट से बने एसएस कंटेनर का खाली वजन लगभग 3 टन है। इस कंटेनर में एक बार में 33.5 टन नमक भरा जा सकता है। हालांकि, परीक्षा के दौरान इनमें 35 टन नमक भरे गए। तब भी इसमें कुछ जगह खाली ही रहा। इन कंटेनरों के इस्तेमाल से मैनुअल वैगन क्लीनिंग की आवश्यकता समाप्त हो जाती है और किसी प्रकार की कोटिंग की जरूरत भी नहीं रहती। लोडिंग और अनलोडिंग जल्दी होने से वैगनों का टर्नअराउंड समय कम होता है और परिचालन क्षमता बढ़ती है।इस कंटेनर से नमक की अनलोडिंग की प्रक्रिया भी उतनी ही आसान और तेज है। परीक्षण के दौरान हाइड्रॉलिक टिपर ट्रक की सहायता से कंटेनर को लगभग 45 डिग्री तक झुकाकर 5 मिनट से भी कम समय में पूरा नमक खाली कर दिया गया। कंटेनर के साइड में दिए गए दरवाज़ों से नमक अपने आप नीचे गिर जाता है। परीक्षण के दौरान महज 4 मिनट में ही नमक की अनलोडिंग हो गई। कंटेनर को खाली करने के बाद उसमें कोई अवशेष नहीं बचता और अतिरिक्त सफाई की जरूरत भी नहीं पड़ती।नमक ढोने वाले इस कंटेनर को विशेष तरीके से बनाया गया है। इस कंटेनर की छत पर ऐसी व्यवस्था की गई है कि साइलो सिस्टम या फिर पोकलेन लोडर से आसानी से इसमें नमक डाला जा सके। प्रत्येक कंटेनर के ऊपर 7 × 4 फीट आकार के दो बड़े ओपनिंग दिए गए हैं। ट्रायल के दौरान प्रति कंटेनर लोडिंग में 15 मिनट से भी कम समय लगा। कुल 28 पोकलेन बकेट्स के माध्यम से प्रत्येक कंटेनर में नमक लोड किया गया।स्टेनलेस स्टील शीट से बने नमक ढोने वाले कंटेनर का परीक्षण अहमदाबाद डिविजन के भीमासर–गांधीधाम सेक्शन में किया गया। रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने खुद ट्वीट कर बताया कि यह नमक ढोने वाले कंटेनरों का पहला सफल ट्रायल था। रेल मंत्रालय का कहना है कि यह पहल टेक्निकल इनोवेशन के साथ-साथ सुरक्षित, तेज़ और आधुनिक माल परिवहन व्यवस्था की दिशा में एक अहम कदम है। इस ट्रायल से यह साफ हो गया है कि पारंपरिक खुले वैगनों की तुलना में कंटेनर आधारित परिवहन अधिक प्रभावी और पर्यावरण के अनुकूल हो सकता है।
