The financial district will be home to Toronto’s first stock exchange-themed restaurant and bar, where drink menu prices will fluctuate based on demand throughout the day. CKTL & Co. — named after the stock ticker for cocktail — will be Ontario’s second restaurant inspired by the stock market. “We’re here to set standards, not follow trends,” said John Ko, mixologist and the restaurant’s beverage manager, of their drinks menu. However, only a select number of drink items will be on CKTL & Co.’s stock screens each day. While the establishment has food, like CKTL & Co., it operates under a similar model that only sees drink prices fluctuate.

they failed to properly coordinate this work properly and now we are on the hook both in time and money to replace this at a snails pace. sometimes things dont line up but its their jobs to verify on site and make sure everything is communicated properly. Some of these errors could have been detected during the construction process if there was proper oversight. Proper oversight by knowledgeable people costs money, but fixing it after is likely more expensive. And the excuse that they inherited this poorly managed project from a "liberal" government is crap. If it was built the way it was intended, it would have been finished three years ago.

Several NATO countries, including Canada, are currently participating in an anti-submarine warfare exercise in the North Atlantic. “Exercise Dynamic Mongoose will ensure crews are prepared to respond to threats posed by sub-surface forces and demonstrate the Alliance stands ready to defend all Allies,” NATO said in a statement. A House of Commons health committee is studying the feasibility of a national breast implant registry, something advocates have been calling for since the 1990s. "To me, it's something that should have happened the moment breast implants started to be manufactured in 1964," she told CBC. The federal feasibility study will look at what information might be included in a national registry and how it might function once it's in place. "Any next steps with respect to a breast implant registry would heavily depend on its purpose, structure, and design," Johnson wrote in an email. He described a breast implant registry as a "complex endeavour" that would require participation and coordination from multiple levels of government.

In 2021, in what has been described as “a coup within a coup,” the Sudanese military, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, took control of the government. Al-Bashir, the former president, came to power with the promise to end decades of civil war, but that did not come to pass. While he is reported to have negotiated an end to the second Sudan Civil War in 2005, which led to the creation of South Sudan, he was also charged with war crimes, including genocide, for overseeing a conflict in Darfur that reportedly killed 300,000 people and displaced some three million. The civilians are, frankly, no longer relevant,” said Nicholas Coghlan, Canada’s former top envoy to Sudan and its first ambassador to South Sudan. Joly said there were 1,700 Canadians registered with the government as being in Sudan, who the federal government is reaching out to.

A notice inviting housing developers and other interested parties to submit ideas for transforming the high-profile block will likely be issued the first week of May, said San Diego Economic Development Director Christina Bibler. The council action marks a major turning point for a site that was long touted for bringing to San Diego its first Ritz-Carlton hotel. “That would have been a great hotel to have downtown in what is a premier location,” McGrory said. I think most hotel guys I know would not be interested in any kind of mixed-income housing project. Betsy Brennan, president and CEO of the Downtown San Diego Partnership, says she strongly believes downtown can support higher density, well-designed affordable housing.

The theft of $20 million in gold and other high-end items from Pearson International Airport was likely a well-planned professional job and if authorities don’t get the gold back quickly, it’s likely gone forever. That’s the opinion of a criminology professor and a former professional criminal who did prison time for his role in Canada’s biggest securities heist. “Obviously, there were people on both ends,” Melvin Mingo said in a telephone interview from Quebec. “The value is obviously the reason, the black market for gold is still quite lucrative,” Sergi said. Then they got their 10 per cent.”He said a small group of trusted criminals could have been pulled together to pull off the airport heist.
