Mendicino dodged questions from opposition MPs in the House of Commons about the issue, stating in French that it was “scandalous” to suggest the government would neglect to protect an MP’s family. The report prompted Chong to accuse the government of failing to inform him that his relatives in Hong Kong were targeted. But when the Conservatives — including Chong himself — repeatedly pressed Mendicino to say when the government found out about the allegation, the public safety minister refused to say. When did he know?”Other MPs offered support and praise for Chong, with New Democrat MP Heather MacPherson saying the allegations that Beijing targeted his family had shocked the entire House of Commons. Canadian Security Intelligence Service has publicly declared Chinese state interference a threat to Canada’s security.

The lawsuit — which represents people who bought Adidas securities between May 3, 2018, and February 21, 2023 — also alleges that Adidas failed to take precautionary measures to limit financial losses if the Ye partnership were to end. The complaint also points to annual company reports from 2018 through 2021 which, the suit says, failed to disclose risks related to Adidas’ partnership with Ye. While remote work gained prominence during the pandemic, less than 29% of entry-level jobs are advertised as hybrid or fully remote. But grads will have to be better prepared and work harder to find their dream job.
