Gray led Canada with nine points, while Boškovic was immense for Serbia with 24 points - 19 attack points, one block, and four serve points. Canada last qualified for the Olympic women's volleyball tournament in Atlanta 1996, finishing ninth. Other than Atlanta, Canada only featured in Olympic women's volleyball in Los Angeles 1984 and Montreal 1976, finishing eighth in both events.

Hay River’s evacuation order lifted Saturday, allowing residents to return, though the town remains under an evacuation alert in case the nearby wildfire flares up again. In prior disasters, the town has been able to benefit from federal funding through the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor). Hay River senior administrative officer Glenn Smith said the town received about $1.5 million for its flooding last spring. “It’s just not enough to cover the costs that these businesses were incurring during a lengthy evacuation,” he said, adding Hay River businesses were impacted by multiple rent payments as one example of expenses.

Firefighters were called to Berwick and District School around 5:10 a.m., said Chief Luke Redden with the Berwick and District Volunteer Fire Department. There is smoke and water damage, and power has been cut from the school, Redden said. A spokesperson for the Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education said families will be updated about what happens next once the school district learns more about the extent of the damage and how much time is needed to clean up.

Paramedics say a man in his 50s was taken to hospital in stable condition but noted his injuries could become life-threatening. As of around 6:40 p.m., buses and trains were not stopping at the station, the Toronto Transit Commission said on social media. The stabbing marks the second attack at a TTC station's bus bay in as many days. On Saturday evening, a police officer was taken to hospital after being assaulted in the bus bay of Kipling station, on the city's west side.
