Dentalcorp bought five Prince George Family Dental Care clinics from Dr. Jasdip Minhas for a total of about $11 million. The new location later changed its signage to indicate it was part of "Smili Dental" — the concept Minhas came up with in 2022. Smili Dental was established as a franchise model through which Smili Dental would help dentists find a location, start up their practice, and help them establish administrative and clinical systems. Smili Dental would be the franchisor," Branch wrote. Health-care workers push for better access to frostbite treatment popularized in Yukon – CBCYukon surgeon says treatment protocol has helped reduce number of amputationsNov 06, 2024A new coalition of Canadian health-care workers is hoping to “revolutionize” frostbite care in Canada, in part by promoting a groundbreaking treatment protocol popularized years ago by several Yukoners. Whitehorse General Hospital surgeon Alex Poole and pharmacist Josianne Gauthier — who are part of the new Canadian Frostbite Care Network — published a study in 2016 which described a treatment for severe frostbite using a drug called Iloprost. Since then, the approach has been used on Himalayan climbers in Kathmandu and saved fingers and toes in Helsinki. But it’s still not widely used in Canada, where conventional frostbite treatment can require patients to wait months before eventually receiving amputations. She remembers reading the article by Poole and Gauthier back in 2016.

W5

It was also called W5 with Eric Malling (reflecting chief reporter and host Malling’s tenure) for several years in the mid-1990s. CTV said that W5 would “evolve” from a stand-alone series to form “a multi-part, multiplatform investigative reporting unit.” CTV also announced that new CTV News documentaries would be produced and broadcast under the title W5: Avery Haines Investigates. A 1979 W5 report titled “Campus Giveaway,” hosted by Helen Hutchinson, argued that foreign students were taking places away from Canadian students. Moreover, university officials revealed that W5 had inflated the number of both student visa holders and foreign students by a factor of five. HonoursOver the course of the series, W5 won many awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
