National Post reached out to Rosanna Berardi, managing partner of Buffalo-based Berardi Immigration Law, to ask what this means for Canadian travellers. This article originally appeared in the National Post. By Warren Mirko, March 25, 2026Canada is rapidly abandoning a principle that has shaped western democracies since the Enlightenment: the idea that no person or group has privileged access to sacred or divine knowledge unavailable to everyone else. Now, this principle is being threatened by Canada’s increasing embrace of “Indigenous Knowledge”— whereby knowledge is treated as collectively owned and restricted by ancestry rather than something open to examination and shared across society. Remarkably, the defining quality to possess this knowledge is not study, training, time spent on the land, or lived experience by any individual alive today. When knowledge is said to be possessed by birth rather than learned, its universality is replaced with mysticism and its value diminished.

Toronto police say they are banning protests in residential parts of a North York Jewish community that has seen regular demonstrations in recent years. Masters: It all starts with a strong Jewish community, and the Jewish community in the greater Detroit metro area is a strong, engaged, coordinated community that works together and has come together — all denominations — as a collective. What’s particularly interesting about supremacists, Nazi ideology, and Islamist extremist ideology is their shared hatred of the Jewish community and shared focus on the Jewish community. The Jewish Security Network was launched in 2024 by the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, modelling SCN. Malik Faisal Akram came from the UK in 2021 to Colleyville, Texas, to target the Jewish community in a hostage event at a synagogue.
