Alexander served as the province's lieutenant governor from 1985 to 1990, the first Black person to hold a viceregal position in Canada. The province officially proclaimed January 21 as "Lincoln Alexander Day" in 2013, and it was recognized nationwide in 2015. It includes elements from Alexander's life from before, during and after he was Ontario's lieutenant governor.

Two Toronto men have been charged in relation to a notorious anti-Israel protest in a downtown mall last month. Toronto police announced Sunday that two men were charged with unlawful assembly, mischief and assaulting a peace officer in connection with the Dec. 17 rally outside of the Zara store at the Eaton Centre. “I will lay you to sleep, I’ll put you six feet deep.”Charged are 19-year-old Amro Saeed Ahmad Abufarick, and 34-year-old Malek Said Ahma Abufarick, both of Toronto. In a press release Sunday, Toronto police accused the two men of blocking the entrance to the Zara store and preventing employees from closing. Both men made their first court appearance on Sunday, and police ask for anybody with information to call Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.

A legendary Nova Scotia broadcaster has died. Frank Cameron was 85 years old. From New Glasgow to Halifax, Cameron’s 60-year career included stints as a DJ, host, reporter, news anchor and weather presenter at private radio stations and for the CBC on radio and television. He wrote about his longtime broadcasting career in his 2015 memoir , I Owe It All To Rock & Roll. Since 2005, Cameron hosted a show on community radio station, Seaside FM in Eastern Passage, until his retirement late last year.

Among the five letters, Wheeler also came across several original photographs including "beautiful" ones of Presley and a little girl. Among the letters Wheeler found were original photographs of Cpl. Along with the letters, Wheeler also found photographs of Presley and his family, including his young daughter. To Burtch, the story of Presley's letters shows there are still plenty of people who want to learn more about the Korean War.
