Egypt’s trade balance deficit dropped by 47.7% year on year (YoY) to $2.32 billion in June, compared to $4.43 billion, MENA New Agency reported on September 9th, citing data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS). At least 2,012 people died in the quake, mostly in Marrakech and five provinces near the epicenter, Morocco's Interior Ministry reported Saturday night. King Mohammed VI has given his instructions to expeditiously continue field relief efforts and provide care to the victims of the deadly powerful quake that hit Morocco Friday night, killing at least 1,305 people, according to an updated death toll. These emergency measures, subject to royal instructions and constant follow-up by since the first moments that followed the earthquake, witnessed the intervention of the Royal Armed Forces, local authorities, security services, Protection civil units as well as the ministries concerned. King Mohammed VI has given his instructions to immediately set up an inter-ministerial commission in charge of carrying out an emergency rehabilitation and aid program to reconstruct as soon as possible the destroyed homes in the affected areas.
