Photo / ODT - Rhyva Van OnselemHelicopters and boats are searching for a person missing in the icy waters of Lake Wakatipu where locals say two people were swept away. Helicopters are circling the shore of the lake near the Glenorchy township at the head of the lake, about 45 minutes drive north from Queenstown. A worker at a store in the town said he had heard from several locals that two people have been swept away. A Heli Otago spokesman said one of its rescue helicopters had been deployed but he could not comment further at this stage.
