Wyllodene Smith Mulkey peacefully passed away at the age of 93 on October 27, 2023. She was born in Fayette County Alabama on August 10, 1930 and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School in 1948. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, enjoying life’s precious moments. Her professional life began at the Northeast YMCA then for over 30 years as a medical transcriptionist at Medical Center East. Her poetry allowed her to capture life’s fleeting moments and the memories most important to her.
