Grab riders told to brace for deactivation of 8,000 TNVS partners next week 0 SHARES Share it! Share TweetBy Alexandria San JuanPassengers should expect longer booking time as dominant ride-hailing firm Grab Philippines is set to deactivate at least 8,000 drivers under its platform next week. In a statement, Grab Philippines said it was ready to remove, by June 10, at least 8,000 transport network vehicle services (TNVS) partners who failed to submit proofs of provisional authority from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). “This will be done after Grab had acted in good faith that TNVS partners would comply within the time frame agreed upon with the LTFRB,” the transport network company said. Grab Philippines President Brian Cu admitted that the removal of at least 8,000 active but non-compliant TNVS providers, which equates to at least 100,000 rides a day, would cause inconvenience among passengers.
