Plans have been lodged for more than 100 homes to be built in a Norfolk village, which could increase its size by almost 20 per cent. Hopkins Homes is hoping to build 112 properties in Scole to meet, what it calls, ‘high demand’ for housing in the area. The area where the new homes in Scole could go. Currently, the village already has about 640 homes there, so the proposed plans would significantly increase its size. Some residents have called the development ‘excessive’ and raised concerns about the strain the increased population would put on schools and nearby GP surgeries.
