Ethiopia star Diribe Welteji won the heat comfortably in 3.59.73 with Great Britain's Georgia Bell in second. Healy was seventh in 4.02.91, nabbed late on by Australia's Maia Ramsden. She doesn't appear to be at her very best this week though time will tell if she can defend her crown.
