Naivasha, the second biggest town in Nakuru county and a resort town, that attracts many tourists. A few meters from the Naivasha railway station is the town’s sewer treatment plant, established in 1974, and built far from the town centre. But, due to population growth and the town’s expansion, the plant finds itself almost in the centre of the town. Naivasha is a wildlife hot spot, with Lake Naivasha about a kilometer away…never would the planners have thought that one of the largest land mammals would turn this place into home. May 5, 2024
