From Tribune staff reportsTROY–A Trussville student attending Troy University helped the school’s Art and Design Department in winning 27 awards at the American Advertising Awards Competition last month. Jared Hester of Trussville won two silver ADDY awards in the competition where students are given the opportunity to submit pieces from their portfolios to a variety of categories. His awards were in the Art Direction Campaign category for the studio 207 Brand Book and the Film, Video and Sound Animation or Special Effects category for a Meta Quest commercial. The competition is held annually by the American Advertising Federation, the oldest national advertising trade association in the United States. Troy University Graphic Design students won multiple Gold and Silver awards along with Best of Show and Student Designer of the Year.
