Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has explained how he has acquired his property since he assumed office. The DP said loneliness drove him to buy land in Meru to be near his family members from his mother’s side. "Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua sometimes is a lonely man. His father is dead, his mother is dead, and his brother Nderitu Gachagua, the governor, died of pancreatic cancer," Gachagua said. "His brother, Dr Fred Wachira, died because of alcohol, his other brother, Jackson, died because of alcohol, his sisters are married.
