Shillong, July 25: The accused involved in operating illegal coke plants and facilitating illegal coal mining are absconding. DGP LR Bishnoi told reporters on Tuesday that police personnel are searching for them. Bishnoi sought the cooperation of his counterpart in Assam in arresting the kingpins. “Immediately, after the high court order, during investigation, the kingpins’ names figured and their addresses were ascertained and they were found to be from outside Meghalaya,” Bishnoi said. “I have written a letter to the DGP of Assam mentioning the details of these persons and their addresses etc and I had sought his cooperation in nabbing them,” he said.
