Lee Carsley said that England's 2-1 defeat against Greece would have 'almost no impact' on his chances of becoming the permanent England manager. The caretaker manager decided to play without an out-and-out striker, instead playing Jude Bellingham as a false nine. The decision didn't pay off as Greece scored two goals either side of Bellingham's equaliser. It was the first time Greece had won at Wembley and they could have scored more but for three disallowed goals. It was also the first time Greece have beaten England on a historic night for the visitors.
