"Necessary actions are being taken to investigate the matter and strengthen security measures to prevent any such future untoward recurrence," the foreign ministry said in a press release on Sunday. "For now, everyone is kindly requested not to trust, share, or engage with any posts or messages from the Facebook page until full recovery," it said in the statement. The foreign ministry’s verified Facebook page was hacked on Saturday evening. For now, official updates and communications will be shared through the ministry's other verified platforms, including its official website and press releases.
