IG news Update,Winter storms expected to hit northeastern Ontario over the Christmas weekend may cause some flights to be canceled or delayed. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for a “significant winter storm” that will affect much of northeastern Ontario. Jean-Mathieu Chenier, director of terminal and land development at Sudbury Airport, said he would not be surprised if there were flight cancellations over the weekend. He said people traveling for the holidays should contact their airlines for the latest information on their flights and possible cancellations. “It is difficult to say whether this is due to flight cancellations now or simply because people are booking travel in the next few days,” she said.
