Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has affirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for all efforts meant to settle disputes through peaceful means in order to protect the sovereignty of Mali and its territorial integrity. During the meeting, Shoukry voiced Egypt’s keenness on promoting bilateral ties with Mali, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid. A comprehensive approach is needed to handle the crises in Mali, the spokesman quoted Shoukry as saying during the meeting. The top diplomat reviewed Egypt’s pioneering role in combating terrorism and extremist ideologies, said the spokesman. Egypt is keen on providing support for Mali in the various spheres, especially in the health sphere, and providing the necessary medical equipment, Shoukry affirmed during the meeting.
