Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) president Samuel Eto’o has dismissed claims that he wants to run for the presidency of Cameroon. Eto’o said he has faced opposition and criticism since his election because of claims that he wants to run for the Cameroonian presidency. “Let’s be clear, the presidency of Fecafoot is not a stepping stone to the presidency of the republic. I say it loud and clear again: I, Samuel Eto’o Fils, am not a candidate for the presidency of Cameroon. This clarification seems necessary to end this unhealthy focus,” Eto’o said in a statement published on social media.
