Ethiopian Airlines has today begun serving Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown as the carrier continues to expand its African flight network. The new flight launch is part of the airline’s ongoing effort to expand its African flight network that exceeds 60 destinations in the continent. “We are delighted to expand our West Africa network with the addition of Freetown,” Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said while announcing the flight earlier this month. The CEO expects the new route to play a role in enhancing the economic ties of the east and west African countries. The new flight service enables travelers from Freetown to connect to the Ethiopian global network involving more than 135 destinations across five continents.
