Trump was reacting to combative speech by Harris after her own meeting with Netanyahu in which she said she would not be silent about Israel's war in Gaza. Netanyahu said he hoped that Harris's comments did not signal a rift between Israel and the US. Netanyahu also said Israel was 'eager' to secure a ceasefire deal that would lead to the release of hostages held in Gaza. Trump dismissed the reports, saying their relations had always been good, adding that Netanyahu's wife, Sara, was his 'secret weapon' in this respect.
