BERLIN – An estimated 500 people turned out Tuesday for a free outdoor community dinner hosted by a group of local churches. “This is absolutely amazing,” said Pastor Robert Haynes of Harvest Christian Fellowship as volunteers scrambled to put up extra tables to accommodate the crowd. Haynes said a group of local pastors have been meeting twice a month to discuss common issues. Comparing it to turning the Titanic on a dime, Plourde said the plans were changed to move the dinner up.
