KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's daily Covid-19 cases are expected to be in an “up and down” trend in coming days as it will depend on the compliance with protocols. Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said this was expected when the virus is already within the community and sporadic infections are easier to happen. "The daily cases will therefore be influenced by the people's attitude and how the standard operating procedures (SOP) are observed," he said on Thursday (Oct 7). Sabah recorded 820 cases today, higher than 790 infections on Wednesday (Oct 6). He said the state would have to have its own rules for interstate travel, since the vaccination rate for the adult population is currently below 70%.
