Now, as per The Hollywood Reporter, Austin Butler, whose latest film ‘Caught Stealing’ is currently circulating in theatres worldwide, is in talks to join the actor for the much-anticipated project.Jordan may be playing the role of undercover detective Ricardo ‘Rico’ Tubbs, which was previously played by iconic actor Philip Michael Thomas in the original series. It will explore the crime and corruption that haunts Miami, and how the team at ‘Miami Vice’ is bent on serving justice and peace across the city.The film is currently in developmental stages; however, the official release date for the film has been set for August 6, 2027.
