The Council of the Arab League has called for urgent Arab action through visits, contacts, and sending high-level joint and bilateral messages to the Security Council, its members, and international decision-making centers. The council also called for the implementation of the Security Council resolutions and the UN General Assembly resolution and for holding Israel, the occupying power, responsible for the consequences of its aggression against the Palestinian people. This was stated in a resolution of the Council of the Arab League, which held an extraordinary session chaired by Egypt at the headquarters of the Arab League to discuss ways to stop the ongoing and escalating Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people throughout Palestinian cities, camps, and villages. This includes the continuous Israeli aggression on the city and camp of Jenin and other areas in the occupied West Bank. The Council of the Arab League affirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause to the entire Arab nation, and supported the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to self-determination, return, and compensation for Palestinian refugees.
