Malindi Demery knew from a young age that she wanted to be a businesswoman. As a student of business and entrepreneurship at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, she set up her first business, an online retailer called the Khaki Collection. So when a friend of her father’s suggested a business venture to Demery after she graduated in 2014, she jumped at the chance. “He had been approached by a company called Freddy, looking to see if he would distribute its brand in Ireland,” said Demery, whose father is also in the fashion trade.
