President Trump has an army of bootlickers that seems to stretch to the sunset. Many of them creep around on social media and almost certainly legions of them come from bot accounts on X. On Saturday morning, Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti after they gang-tackled him. Essayli was soon getting smacked around on social media by gun rights groups, including the NRA, which has endorsed Trump in all his presidential races. When history looks back at all the cowards, sycophants, apologists, enablers, henchmen and other miscreants that made Trump possible, the bootlickers will have a starring role.

Jack St. Ivany leaves the bench in the middle of the period, dropping Pittsburgh down to five defenders. Second periodVancouver gets the first power play of the game when Anthony Mantha smacks a guy in the face. The Pens PK takes care of business, no small thanks to a bunch of saves from Skinner. Big time period for the visitors to blow the game open with three goals. That meant the Pens basically went the distance with only five defenders for the balance of the game tonight.
On Friday, MLB Pipeline released their annual preseason ranking of the league’s top 100 prospects. Five Brewers made the cut, all of whom were also named to Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects just a few days earlier. Since I already briefly profiled each prospect when the Baseball America list came out, I won’t repeat myself. While none of those shortstop prospects are exactly alike, all of them are seen as having superstar potential and have (so far) lived up to their billing in the minors. Milwaukee does have a stud defensive shortstop prospect in Cooper Pratt, but he’s a prospect; Winn just won a Gold Glove.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGSometimes, it feels like there’s a battle taking place between “night owls” and “early birds”, sometimes called “larks”. AdvertisementHow many of us are “night owls” or “early birds”? According to Dr Breus, only 15% of us have a natural “early bird”-style chronotype, and roughly the same amount are “night owls”. And while they didn’t use the ‘bear’ term, a 2012 paper found that as much as 60% of the population has a “mixed” chronotype (neither night owls nor early birds). Women are slightly more likely to be “early birds” than men.
Neurodivergent children living in an unforgiving neurotypical world do not need “more resilience”. They need understanding and support much earlier – not just from parents, but from schools, society, and government systems as a whole. AdvertisementAccording to Learning Disability Today, two in five parents of children with SEND are forced to give up work completely. Children would not need to retreat to bedrooms to recover from a world that failed to meet them halfway. AdvertisementIf we truly invested early, fewer children would ever need to cocoon at all.
Here are your Pens Points for this Monday morning... The Pittsburgh Penguins completed their Western Canada swing on Sunday evening, facing off against the Vancouver Canucks. It was a homecoming for rookie forward Ben Kindel, who led the way with two goals as the Penguins won 3-2. Video shows Rust appearing to hit Boeser up high with an extended elbow, an action deemed “dirty” by Vancouver players. The winger has career highs in goals (14) and points (25) in 37 games after Sunday.
Expecting the former Ravens coach to replicate what the New England Patriots or Chicago Bears achieved in Year 1 of their new regimes would be unreasonable. Still, Harbaugh’s track record – just three losing seasons in 18 years – is the stuff of dreams for a Giants franchise tied for the fewest wins since 2017 (44). Harbaugh was the one option this cycle who looked capable of flipping an organization’s culture, even if it required some uncomfortable shifts. Given how set in their ways the Giants have been, the transformation might not take place overnight. But Big Blue has seen sharp play-callers flame out, so inspiring hope was going to necessitate finding someone capable of addressing the very core of the organization.
