Zack Polanski and Keir Starmer APLabour has branded Zack Polanski “delusional” after the Green Party leader claimed Keir Starmer shared his scepticism about the future of Nato. AdvertisementMeanwhile prime minister Keir Starmer is trying to hold the alliance together just one month after Nato-sceptic Donald Trump threatened to invade Greenland. But Polanski told HuffPost UK: “The prime minister has moved much closer to my position [on Nato]. The roaring economy is roaring like never before.” “America’s comeback is building the future of American possibilities. Inflation keeps coming down.” “When I last spoke in this chamber 12 months ago, I had just inherited a nation in crisis. Now we are the hottest country anywhere in the world. The hottest.” “I inherited an economy on the brink. Now our economy is literally the envy of the world.”

I’ll save you some time and explain that the drubbing Republicans are about to endure won’t be the result of Trump or his policies. Instead, it will be because the midterm elections were rigged for the Democrats. “That’s why they opened the border wide for four years under Biden and Harris and allowed in all these dangerous people. To prevent this, Republicans have invented a MacGuffin: the SAVE America Act; a plot device Republicans have introduced primarily to drive the story forward. Scott Presler, a prominent right-wing activist championing this bill on Fox News, has already declared that unless the SAVE Act passes, Republicans will lose both chambers of Congress.

Based on a new prediction made in the last 24 hours we are recommending voting Labour.”However, no organisation called “Tactical Choice” actually exists. Three real tactical voting organisations have already recommended voters back the Greens to stop Reform winning. Labour is locked in a three-way battle with the Green Party and Reform UK in the seat. AdvertisementIn a letter to Powell on Wednesday night, Polanski accused Labour of “lying to voters”. Dear @LucyMPowell,Why did you invent a fake tactical voting company to stop the Green Party beating Reform?

A crunch by-election which could decide the future of Keir Starmer will go “down to the wire”, senior Labour figures have admitted as the party faces the prospect of defeat to either the Greens or Reform UK. But the bookies have made the Green Party odds-on favourites to win, with Reform just behind them in a nail-biting three-way struggle. Advertisement“A vote for the Green Party is, in effect, a vote for Reform. via Associated PressLabour deputy leader Lucy Powell told HuffPost UK that both the Greens and Reform have under-estimated the resilience of Labour’s support. Only a vote for Reform is a vote to put the people of Gorton and Denton where they belong – first.”

The Trump administration’s latest policy of deporting immigrants to “third countries” to which they have no ties is unlawful and must be set aside, a federal judge ruled Wednesday in a case that already reached the nation’s highest court. US District Judge Brian E. Murphy in Massachusetts agreed to suspend his decision for 15 days, giving the government time to appeal his latest ruling in the case. The policy “extinguishes valid challenges to third-country removal by effecting removal before those challenges can be raised,” the judge concluded. DHS issued its new policy guidance for third-country removals on March 30, two days after Murphy’s order. Murphy said the DHS third-country removal policy has targeted immigrants who were granted protection from being sent back to their home countries, where they feared being tortured or persecuted in other ways.

Despite the woes for rotation depth early this offseason, there is quietly a lot of competition for the back of the bullpen. Tyler Kinley, Dylan Lee, Dylan Dodd, Hayden Harris, and James Karinchak all had strong outings out of the bullpen Wednesday, with Harris and Karinchak looking especially impressive. The Braves have four bullpen locks or near locks with Raisel Iglesias, Robert Suarez, Aaron Bummer, Dylan Lee. Meanwhile, Wentz and Jose Suarez are out of minor league options. Braves NewsAustin Riley went yard, as Baldwin and Profar collected extra-base hits against Paul Skenes and bullpen competitors shined in a 3-1 Spring Training win.

Oliver “Power” Grant, the close Wu-Tang Clan affiliate who oversaw the group’s enormously popular Wu Wear fashion line, has died. Grant’s death was confirmed by social media posts from several Wu-Tang members including Method Man, who wrote “Paradise my Brother safe Travels! His passing is a profound loss to us all.”AdvertisementThe group members’ posts did not cite a cause of death. Grant, a childhood friend of Wu-Tang co-founder RZA’s older brother, was a crucial figure in the sprawling New York hip-hop collective’s ascent. The line was later revamped as Wu-Tang Brand, and relaunched as Wu Wear in 2017.

Donald Trump might never have been president but for an Iraq War backlash that shattered trust in establishment leaders. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, left, watches as President Bush talks about the devastation at the Pentagon in Washington, on September 12, 2001. Pablo Martinez Monsivais/APBefore invading Iraq, Bush spent months making the case for war — albeit one based on faulty intelligence and false premises. The Iraq War was expected to be a “shock and awe” breeze, and US troops expected to be greeted as liberators. He can hardly embrace a nuclear pact that looks anything like the Obama-era caps on Iran’s nuclear program, which he trashed.

Construction work on new homes in the Twin Cities has stalled since Operation Metro Surge, CNN reports. “Haley Chinander, an analyst at the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, said tariffs have had a negative effect on most of the businesses that responded. “In the north metro, Fridley and Columbia Heights superintendents Brenda Lewis and Zena Stenvik lead districts that each span less than 6 square miles and serve fewer than 3,500 students,” reports the Minnesota Star Tribune. “But their diverse schools have experienced an outsized impact during Operation Metro Surge, with the detention of several students and dozens of parents. “The float valve is also difficult to see, which could lead the user to think it is safe to open the lid when the cooker is still under pressure.”
