President Donald Trump said he would accept the Nobel Peace Prize if this year’s prize winner, María Corina Machado, offered it to him when she meets with him next week, but Nobel officials quickly announced Friday that the prize may not be shared or transferred. “Once a Nobel Prize is announced, it cannot be revoked, shared or transferred to others,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee and the Norwegian Nobel Institute said Friday. In an interview with Hannity this week in which she heaped praise on Trump, Machado said she had not spoken to the U.S. president since October, when she was announced as the latest Nobel laureate. Trump has openly coveted and publicly lobbied for the Nobel Peace Prize, claiming to have “solved” a number of international conflicts. She’s a very nice woman, but she doesn’t have the respect.”Two people close to the White House previously told The Post that Trump was not willing to support Machado because she accepted the Peace Prize.

LOADING ERROR LOADINGRep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) represents communities that President Donald Trump has been targeting for years — and his attacks have frequently turned personal. With the effects of such attacks now putting her home state in the national spotlight, Omar feels a sense of responsibility. The Trump administration alleges Good tried to run over law enforcement agents, despite video evidence that contradicts their claims. Trump has said Omar and other Somalis in Minnesota — the vast majority of whom are U.S. citizens — should be deported en masse. “Renee Nicole Good’s murder was not an accident and not an isolated tragedy,” Omar wrote to HuffPost after the interview.

After experiencing one of the wettest holiday seasons on record, still soggy California hit a major milestone this week — having zero areas of abnormal dryness for the first time in 25 years.
