Mr Sanan said he regarded this year as a challenge for the economy as the country faced crises brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which has hit economic growth across the board. However, Mr Sanan is confident GDP will grow 3-4%, while export growth will rise to 3-5% following news that China will reopen its country by the middle of next year. Substitute Fernandez made sure of the three points when he curled a superb shot into the top corner in the 87th minute. The result restored order for the Argentines in Group C after their shock opening 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia. Argentina, on three points, can guarantee progress with a win over Poland, top on four, in their final game on Wednesday. Mexico, who have now lost all four World Cup clashes with Argentina, have one point and must beat Saudi Arabia, on three, to have any chance of continuing their run of making the last 16 in the last seven World Cups, but even that might not be enough. With the prospect of an Argentina elimination, tensions were high on and off the ball in a scrappy first half but with the two sets of fans creating an electric atmosphere in the stadium.

The herd had reportedly made its way out of the sanctuary in neighbouring Chachoengsao province to hunt for food in Prachin Buri, which is rich with farms of sugarcane, cassava, mango and oil palm. Officials first used drones to survey the area and usher wandering elephants together before guiding them back to the sanctuary. This effort has helped minimise damage to crops and ensured the safety of villagers. A ranger explained that the herd was being ushered to Bo Krasob Forest in the heart of the sanctuary that spans 1,070 square kilometres and is home to several hundred wild elephants.

In an urgent notification to internet protocol TV (IPTV) operators, the telecom regulator said that under the “must carry” rule, the tournament must also be made available on IPTV platforms including 3BB TV, NT-TOT IPTV, and AIS Playbox. The notification effectively cancels True Corp’s exclusive broadcasting rights for half of this year’s World Cup matches via its IPTV and other online platforms. But from now on, fans in Thailand can also watch the matches via other IPTV platforms. The “must carry” rule dictates that major sports events like the World Cup must be broadcast for free across all platforms in Thailand. Fifa has asked the broadcasters to strictly encrypt its over-the-air transmissions at least to the minimum standards of “Biss CA Director” or “Power/u”, said Kongsak. Furthermore, Thaicom and the providers of STB services cannot use the Biss 1 Simultcrypt as they are now doing, he added. “Failure to comply with these rules will result in Thailand’s broadcasting rights being forfeited,” Kongsak added.
