The Hamilton mum who says she is being effectively kept prisoner in her home by Kāinga Ora “neighbours from hell” has given an emotional radio interview revealing the true toll of her ongoing battle with the agency to remove neighbours who regularly threaten and abuse her and her family. The solo mother-of-four has lived with the neighbours for years, repeatedly complaining to Kāinga Ora, and has stayed strong for her kids. She says Kāinga Ora should buy her out. The video, posted on May 14, shows her mother, who was visiting the home, being confronted by the Kāinga Ora tenants after she asked them to turn down their music. Park told the Herald that police had told her that the man was under the influence of methamphetamine.

Donald Trump has become the first former US president to face a judge on federal charges, pleading not guilty in a Miami courtroom overnight to allegations he hoarded classified documents. Trump faces 37 felony counts that accuse him of wilfully retaining classified records that prosecutors say could have jeopardised national security if exposed, and trying to hide them from investigators who demanded them back (AP). According to the indictment, Trump hoarded hundreds of classified documents in non-secure places, including details on US nuclear programs and defence capabilities (CBS). The indictment alleges that Trump showed sensitive documents to others on at least two occasions, telling the individuals that the plan was “highly confidential” and “secret”. Trump used his Truth Social platform to claim — without evidence — that investigators planted documents in his home, declaring “they taint everything that they touch, including our country, which is rapidly going to HELL!”It comes as Truth Social opens up to Australian users, after the removal of geoblocking that prevented citizens from most countries from accessing the website (Crikey).

Training for authorised officers varies but typically is shorter and less intensive than the 16-week training course required for constabulary officers. Cahill said while authorised officers were always part of the plans Cabinet agreed to in 2018, to call all new officers “frontline” and “on the beat” was misleading. When asked directly by NZME if labelling all 1800 new officers as “frontline” was misleading, she replied: “The Government’s commitment has always included authorised officers. Growing demand for frontline policeAs reports of retail and violent crime increase, Cahill said that demand for frontline officers had grown significantly. There are currently 10,184 constabulary officers and 525 authorised officers, making up the total force of 10,709.

Luxon calls NZ a ‘negative, wet, whiny’ countryChristopher Luxon says New Zealand is a “very negative, wet, whiny, inward-looking country”. He called NZ a ‘negative, wet, whiny’ country – ummmmmm. Huge political gamble here from the National Party strategists, especially when you consider most of their policy is aimed at sadists. TDB Recommends NewzEngine.comI think Luxon is cracking now and if he keeps saying stupid shit like this Chippy will win. He was surprisingly for National a positive future looking leader, at least that is the impression that he created. Not only are they negative, whiny and inward looking but they have recently displayed a remarkable ability for magical thinking. In the midst of a global crisis they have decided to appease the farming lobby by delaying agriculture’s entry into the Emissions Trading Scheme. And Luxon has accused the Government of blowing up the He Waka Eke Noa arrangement. As long as you replace “New Zealand” with “National”.

“These new masthead sites are the first products to launch off our new platform, and we look forward to revealing others in due course.”This month, Ms Boucher unveiled a corporate structure that she says reflects the strategic pivot. Stuff’s chief audio officer, Nadia Tolich, will lead Stuff Digital, which includes stuff.co.nz, Neighbourly and the company’s audio division. The company’s chief content officer, Joanna Norris, will take over Stuff Masthead Publishing, which includes the metropolitan, regional and community digital sites. “We were for many years too in thrall to the global tech giants, particularly social media, and believed that we had to play their game,” Ms Boucher said. A proposed sale to NZME fell through, and Ms Boucher negotiated a management buyout in May 2020.

So I purchased an “add on data pack” for $50 in the middle of March. (I have since learned of 2degrees' data clock where you can get a free hour of wifi, but at this stage I was a data-buying newbie). Next text: “The auto renewal of 15GB Data Pack has been stopped.”And yet, I was then charged for an additional data pack in April, and then also in May. According to the 2degrees phone rep, because I hadn’t stopped the data pack from rolling over once, I had actually agreed to buy it for a further two months. So I took NZ Telecommunications Forum (TCF) chief executive Paul Brislen’s advice and took my issue to the Telecommunications Dispute Resolution Service (TDRS), the industry's own dispute scheme.

When the petition did not work, they harassed Kiwibank on social media and called for people to “empty their accounts”. THAT’S why the vast, vast, vast, vast, vast, vast, vast, vast, vast, vast majority of Kiwis were critical and questioning of Shaneel, and that is totally legitimate. To frame this as irrational scapegoating hate is to misrepresent the entire argument, which is exactly what the Spinoff and Shaneel is doing. However Parker is a manifestation of a cancel culture where these issues can’t be debated because of woke social media lynchings. Photo / NZMENew Zealand’s population has continued to grow at pace with new data for the year to April showing a net migration gain of 72,300. But there are signs that more normal levels are returning with the monthly net migration gain falling back to just 5800. Treasury has forecast an annual net migration gain of 66,000 for the calendar year. “On current trends, annual net inflows are likely to peak well below 100,000 persons by the end of the year. This was consistent with migration patterns before the Covid-19 pandemic, where New Zealand usually had an annual net migration loss of New Zealand citizens and an annual net migration gain of non-New Zealand citizens.
