Launched in 1992 with 33 participating countries, the Small Grants Program was expanded to provide assistance to 125 countries currently.

Monrovia – Liberia’s newest sporting federation, the Liberia National Teqball Federation (LNTF) has completed its first technical workshop in the country aimed at providing hands-on technical knowledge about the sport. The rationale behind the one-day technical workshop hinges on the possibility of preparing and producing the next biggest TEQBALL talent in West Africa. For his part, Youth and Sports Minister D. Zeogar Wilson said the Ministry is happy to work with the Teqball federation. We look at all of the federations and I am happy we have the newest generation on board the Teqball federation. Monrovia – Dutch Company, Greenfield Inc. on Wednesday September 29, 2021 conducted Geo-Technical survey on the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports complex playing pitch. The Company’s mission among other things is to conduct technical study and or survey of the SKD playing pitch with a hope of identifying the specific turf to be subsequently placed on the playing pitch. Greenfield experts as part of their work on Wednesday strategically positioned their gadgets and other equipment, dug some portions of the playing pitch and collected samples. Experts say if work on in a timely manner and form and holding everything constant, the specific artificial turf needed can be laid on the SKD playing pitch before the November home games in Liberia. Meanwhile, Minister Wilson is quoted as saying among other things that the government is committed to the process.

HARPER, Maryland – A magistrate court sitting in Harper, Maryland County has charged and sent to jail a 30-year-old man for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy. “After committing the act Knight told the victim he would die if he told anyone. The victim broke his silence to his grandmother and accused Knight of sodomizing him. The matter was later reported to the Women and Children Protection Section (WACPS) of the Liberia National Police headquarters in the county. While the report shows that the major outcomes of the NRA portray Liberia’s money laundering risks as high in the financial sector as well as the DNFBPs, the NRA report also reveals that Liberia’s terrorist financing risk is low. With the completion and publication of the report, Mr. Harris said the FIU will launch and anti-money laundering policy, strategy and action plan on mitigating the risks relating to money laundering in Liberia. Monrovia – LIPRIDE with support from ACTIONAID Sweden has concluded a policy dialogue with partners on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Liberia. The dialogue was triggered by a social impact audit report which commenced since 2018 on assessing progress of SRHR services in four counties.
